Back in the 80s we set out to develop a more modern speaker, to meet the demands of the players and their increasingly 'hot-rodded' amplifiers a new breed of hard rock player was on the rise. This speaker would be capable of handling much more power and overdrive while still delivering the instantly recognisable vibe of the Celestion guitar speakers of the past.
To achieve this, we brought together our 'H' magnet with a new cone and voice coil employing contemporary materials. The result was our most revealing speaker: The Vintage 30 features immense detail and with complex overtones and warm lows. Its famously rich vocal mid-range sits just right in the mix and the exquisitely detailed highs sing in lead guitar lines. Use by itself to reveal the complex tones in your boutique amp, or in a 4x12 for a sophisticated, three-dimensional tone.
