StewMac Rosette Router Base

Cut perfectly concentric and repeatable rosettes in guitars and ukuleles—now easier and faster than ever before!

The simplicity lies in the Rosette Router Base's clear plexi plate with a spiral pattern of index holes. Insert a pin into one of the holes, and the router works as a compass, rotating around the pin and cutting a precise circle. Each of the 49 holes will change the diameter of the corresponding rosette it cuts by 1/16".

There are no measurements to remember, no extra dials to fidget with, and no lengthy setup times. You'll plunge cut rosette and inlay channels faster and more accurately than you ever thought possible. Our thanks to luthier Jon Dale of Jupiter Ukulele, who inspired this amazing tool!

Cut soundholes and rosette diameters from 2-1/8" to 5" (54mm to 127mm).

Sturdy, compact, and adjustable
It's very simple to set the precision depth adjustment, then plunge and raise the bit exactly that amount. Each turn of the knurled micro depth stop gives approximately 1/32" of adjustment, to a maximum depth of one inch.

The ball grips give you excellent control for freehand routing and easy operation of the plunge feature. The built in LED light bar gives you a fully lighted view of your work. There's even a built-in nozzle for attaching a Mini Air Pump to continuously blow away the dust—you'll rout inlay cavities more precisely, for a better fit requiring less filler.

Installation is easy
Simply unscrew the threaded plastic collar on the nose of the Dremel, and screw on the Precision Router Base. Its 3/4-12 thread fits:
