Bosch Plunge Base for Colt Router
Get more versatility from your router
Plunge bases make it easy (and safe) to rout for pickups, neck pockets, wiring channels, and a whole lot more.
A plunge router base is essential when you're getting into guitar building. They make it simple to make consistent, clean cuts, no matter where you are on your wood blank. The smooth plunge action lets you set your depth and control your cuts with excellent precision.
The control you need
This router base is far more than a one-trick pony. The plunge action is super smooth, giving you a great feel when you are making your cuts. The base also has a trigger control built into the handle which controls the plunge function.
It's also very easy to get the correct depth for your rout: the seven-step adjustable depth stop and additional microfine adjustment give you extreme control. On harder woods like Rosewood and Maple we like to use the plunge base to incrementally rout to the final depth, rather than routing all in one pass. This helps minimize chip out and wear and tear on your bits.
Features:
- Tool free clamp system: change router bases in a snap
- Ultra-adjustable depth stop system
- Built-in trigger handle
- Precision centering design
- Spring-loaded and lockable plunge action
This base fits our Bosch Colt Router (model PR20EVS) and Bosch PR10E Routers.
