Designed from the ground up, this kit is a modern player's dream. With versatile pickups, locking tuners, and a brilliantly designed trem system, you'll build a guitar that can do anything.
Upgraded for today's player
Wilkinson kept the traditional Strat looks, but made real improvements to the classic models. The thinner neck is a fast shape, and the 10" radius is much more comfortable to play. The larger frets also make bending and vibrato a breeze. Also, the truss rod adjustment is at the headstock making setups much easier. No one likes taking off a neck for just a simple tweak.
The heart of the kit is the premium grain-matched center jointed 2-piece body. The universal pickup routing is crisp and clean, and the wood is smooth and ready to finish. With our series of ColorTone Finishing Supplies, you can make it look exactly like you've always pictured it.
The Maple neck right out of the box feels smooth and fits tight in the pocket. It's pre-fretted, inlayed, and ready of fine tune to your perfect shape. The peghead has a very familiar shape—it's ready for you to customize and dial in the exact curves and contours to match any vintage model you feel inspired by.
Custom pickups and pro parts
Each and every electronic component is totally upgraded. The pickups are Wilkinson's custom-wound WHS single coils in the neck and middle positions and a WHZB humbucker in the bridge. These high output pickups are balanced for great sound in every position.
The single coils have Alnico V magnets with a few extra winds for extra power, and the special wind of the ceramic humbucker doesn't sacrifice tone for output. Everything is pre-wired with premium wiring and professional-grade CTS pots and CRL switch, saving you hours of work.
High performance hardware for effortless playing
The hardware upgrades are where this kit really shines. The bridge is Wilkinson's latest version of his amazing WVS tremolo. The knife edges and locking saddles return to pitch with amazing accuracy, and the feel is comfortable under your palm. The steel block also features staggered holes for an incredible feel. The Graph Tech nut keeps the guitar in tune even when you lean into the trem. And you get locking tuners too!
