Amana Tool Miniature Ball Bearing Router Bit, 1/8" Shank
This is the first ball bearing bit we've seen for a Dremel!
These extremely small, carbide-tipped bits are designed to be used in areas where a full size router bit isn't practical. They're just right for cutting the tight corners of pickup cavities, or scrollwork on headstocks (as seen on D'Angelico/D'Aquisto style guitars or F-Style Mandolins). These bits are also excellent for light duty template routing.
This bit will also work on Foredom or other rotary tools that accept a 1/8" shank.
Cutter diameter: 3/16" (4.76mm)
Cutter height: 1/2" (12.7mm)
Shank diameter: 1/8" (3.175mm)
Also available with a 1/4" shank for use in a standard router.
Mini Bit Routing TipsDon't cut the entire profile with this bit. Start with the larger bit then go back with this mini bit and hit just the spots where you need the smaller radii. Let the bit do the cutting, rather than trying to force the router forward. Never set the depth of cut more than the width of the bit.
