Kluson Waffleback Guitar Machines

Named for the distinctive grooves on the cast gear housings, these are improved reproductions of the deluxe tuners used on many Gibson® guitars.

They feature nylon worm bearings for smooth operation, 15:1 gear ratio for precise tuning, and maintenance-free sealed lubrication.

Sets of 6 (3-left/3-right), with screws and press-fit bushings included. 11/32"-diameter pegholes required. Available with plastic or metal keystone knobs.

Installation Tips

Bushings: We recommend the Standard Peghole Reamer to cut smooth, perfectly round holes.

Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend the #1713 Depth-stop Drill Bit (No.44 bit) for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.
