Showcasing a stunning range of colors, each piece can range from creamy pale white to light reddish brown, with occasional brown or striking black streaks or flecks. Birdseye Maple is known for bright and balanced tone, with remarkable note separation and clarity.
It's easy to work with by hand, power tools, or CNC machines. The dense, stiff, and stable properties make it ideal for guitar tops. To avoid chip-out, use sharp tools and light passes. As a closed-pore wood, Birdseye Maple finishes beautifully, allowing stains and finishes to accentuate its unique character and highlight the birdseyes.
