Dan Erlewine: You never know what new product will get me excited. For example, this spray gun cleaning kit. It's a 17-piece kit with 11 brushes and six hole pokers. There's a size here that'll fit every gun I have from a jam size to a production quart size, right down to a little airbrush. There are three different sized holes in this air cap. I'll clean two of them with my pokers. They have raised ribs on them that act like scrapers to remove the dried lacquer. I'll clean the larger hole for the fluid needle with one of these little brushes.
The small brushes and the pokers are fastened onto rings, so they're always there when I need them and they don't get lost. But these aren't just for cleaning spray guns, they're for cleaning any small parts. The holes on a P90 pickup cover, right down in the corners where the dirt builds up. Tune-o-matic, bridges where all that dust and hair and sweat gets down on the threads. I've got a lot fancier tools around the shop, but this little batch of cleaners just gets me excited.
